Camp was a Success!! The dining hall was full of girls busting balloons despite the downpour that came in on Friday night as everyone was arriving. We had two dorms for girls one filled with ages 11 thru 13 the second dorm ages 14 thru 18. Saturday was full of classes and fun. Each age group planned a skit to do Saturday afternoon and the Mother Advisors/adults put on their own Rainbow meeting (the girls loved it!). Each group of girls earned gold coins for doing something special as sharing, helping and by working together. The pledge girls blew everyone away! Rainbows you have a lesson to learn from the pledges. The food was in vast supply great job by the cooks and everyone that helped. So many people donated snacks and other things we could have fed an army. After dinner which was enjoyed by all we played games and told ghost stories. It was a time of learning for all but also a time of fellowship and fun with our Rainbow family. Can’t wait for next year!! Mom Shirley ==================================================== Additional Scholarship Opportunity 09/11/07 We have just been notified by the Humanitarian Foundation of the Grottoes of North America that due to the number and quality of the responses to the scholarship offer in May, 2007, they are offering another single $1000.00 scholarship. Please make the enclosed instructions and application available to all the college and college bound girls in your Assembly. Those who applied but were not selected in the May offering are welcome to apply again for this one. Caution the girls to be very careful with their essays being sure of proper sentence construction and spelling. A girls writing can make or break a selection. Application must be on the form identified in the lower right hand corner as “Rev. 9/09.” In order for the scholarships to be available for the selected Rainbow Girls in time for the spring 2008 semester, the applications must be received by December 1, 2007. So time is of the essence. Supreme Assembly will expedite the process and selection. The selections will be made by a committee of Supreme members with education expertise. Please give this your immediate attention!
